'Avatar' will return to theatres this summer with new scenes in it.

The film got replaced at digital and IMAX screens by Disney's "Alice in Wonderland" on March 5.

However, Fox will reportedly re-release the alien film later this year, reports the New York Daily News.

IMAX CEO Richard Gelfond recently revealed that Cameron had about 40 minutes of material that wasn't included in the original film.

'Avatar' is the highest-grossing movie of all time. (ANI)
