RTB Official Leaves For Japan For
Leadership Programme

Begawan - Awang Haji Osman bin Haji Mohammad, Acting Deputy
Director of Radio Television Brunei (RTB) left for Japan to take part
in the 35`h Leadership Programme to be held in Japan from September
11-16.
The objective of the leadership
programme is to enhance mutual understanding between Japan and the
rest of the world by inviting leaders from various sectors from all
over the world to take part in the programme.
Through various activities including
lectures, exchange >f opinions and field trips, the participants will
be able to deepen their knowledge of Japanese politics, economy,
society and culture as well as develop more accurate views of the
current situation in Japan.
The programme is organised by the
Institute for International Studies and Training with the support of
the Japanese Government (METI).
Sixteen people from Asia, the EU and
African countries who are politicians, governors, high level officials
and journalists will take part in the programme.
Awang
Haji Osman will also have the opportunity to exchange opinions with
senior METI officials and Japanese business leaders from Toyota in
order to have a better understanding of the current state of Japan's
industrial sector.
He will also visit the ancient
capital of Japan, Kyoto, and NHK, Japan's Broadcasting Corporation,
where he hopes to observe the producing facilities including the high
